The BBC News embarrassment

I watched the BBC News headlines today and among them was this piece of news: "Who is the killer on Eastenders and did you watch the show last night?" I fell down my chair. Can you find anything more unworthy of reporting on national news than this? More unworthy of being in headlines? I knew the BBC was sycophantic towards the royals, I didn't know their shameless behavior extended to their soaps. This is not journalism, this is crass, biased infomercial. Who is the killer on some stupid soap, did you watch that stupid soap last night? Here's the right answer: who cares?

Je ne savais pas qu'une chaîne aussi respectable que la BBC pouvait avoir des airs de TVA!

i can't believe the state our national news has slid down to. it's like watching a comical game show. it's embarrassing.

That's pretty bad, alright. Even the CBC hasn't sunk that low -- yet.
