Odin

English below...

-------------------

Evenings like this. I wanted to blog about plenty of things, but not about this. Never ever about this. Odin was hit by a car tonight right after supper and died on the spot. I am writing this as catharsis, because the cat had become such important part of my life. I may not blog for a little bit, but when I feel ready to blog about him I will write a proper homage. He was a wonderful feline and the best friend one can ever hope to have. If you have any advice about grieving an animal, I would like to know. Until then, I guess it is now the end of the Odin saga.

Bon courage xx

i am so sorry to hear this. i just about died when we had to put our last chow to sleep. i wrote journal after journal trying to stop the pain but it was useless. the only thing that helped was getting teddy. having a new puppy that i was falling in love with and had to take care of 24/7, finally stopped the pain. i think when we love our pets the way we do, we should bring new ones into our lives. there are so many neglected animals out their that need pet parents like us.

OH NO!!! Poor Odin, how tragic that he has left this world so suddenly and unexpectedly. His many friends are grieving, including his virtual friends here in the blogosphere. He brought joy to a lot of people.

Just remember the good times, Guillaume, and he will live forever.

Oh this is so sad. We have all come to know Odin and love him for his special qualities that you saw and described so well. He had become so real to us all. I don't know what to say... I am so sorry.
Remember him with the joy that you felt when he was alive. Memories are what we can keep with us.
