Sometimes I take pictures thinking they would be interesting for a good blog post, but I only share them years later. This is the case for this one, which I took at the National Railway Museum of York. Maybe my favourite museum, even when I have to choose a dessert in its cafeteria (and not its luxury one). This is a piece of a vegetable or a garden cake, I don't remember the name. Basically a cake made of garden vegetables. I thought it was such an unusual idea that I had to try it. I also thought that it could be a sort of autumnal cake. Any cake made with the products of harvest is autumnal in my book. When I ate it, I remember thinking that autumn was coming soon and it felt very fitting.

The cake looks delicious! We enjoy carrot cake here, then there’s sweet potato pie. Getting our vegetables! I’ve a recipe for Tomato Soup Cake, too. Hoping for a happy fall for all of us.
Looks amazing and it is making me droool!
