Strawberry shortcake
My dad sent me pictures of small strawberry shortcakes he made recently. Here is one of them, very posh in its bowl, even though the dessert itself is kind of messy. I wonder if you can see the cake underneath the strawberries and the whipped cream. You can also see sprinkled maple sugar on it. Strawberry shortcakes is maybe the dessert I associate most with this time of year and is a family tradition. Come to think of it, I also associate the shortcake with strawberries at the exclusion of all other fruits. I wish I could have had one.

Yum! But with your cold, you wouldn't be able to taste it anyway.
Is your dad a chef?
