My father sent me a photo of this pot roast they made recently at home.I love pot roasts, especially this time of year, which is for me THE time for pot roasts. The vegetables have been harvested, they are fresh, summer is ending and autumn is about to start. This is a transitional hearty meal, good for either the end or the beginning of the seasons. I am getting more and more in the mood for hearty meals, even though it is still a bit hot outside. Recently my mother-in-law made a delicious meatloaf, but this is for another post. For those who want to enjoy the end of summer and are eagerly waiting for the next season, here is a bit of food porn. I don't know when I will enjoy a pot roast next (last time was around 2004 I think), but I remember the taste very well just looking at this.

Pot roast
