A yellow summer

I don't like mowing the lawn, but I won't have to do it for a while. Because although we no longer have a heatwave, it is still a hot summer and there has been no rain for the last two or three weeks at least. So the grass everywhere is withered and yellow, dry like... like dry grass? It looks horrid really, like some kind of sick savanna. Summer this year is not green, it is yellow. I must confess, I am starting to wish for rain and cooler days.
