I went out a few minutes ago. Surprisingly, I found this November day to be beautiful: it was sunny, crisp and the daylight was just soothing and very autumnal. And there was the smell of snow in the air. I know it will not snow just yet here, if it does this year (I usually welcome snow, but last year it ended up a very bad surprise
). The smell of snow in November, even when it is not here, is one of the things that make me appreciate the month. It is a sign of changing season, of the passage from a greying autumn to winter. I don't like November much, so I better find little piece of enjoyment in it, however modest.
I can only imagine how lovely the scent of snow must be...I am envious :-)
