Of secret paths and new friends

Yesterday, we had our second meeting in the park with parents of the children of Wolfie's age who will be starting to go to the same school this coming September. We arrived a bit late and Wolfie was shy at first, so we didn't speak with many people. But Wolfie still managed to make a new friend, a boisterous boy who showed him all the narrow paths in the shrubbery of the park. Let's call him Jim. So they spent a lot of time running and crawling in these secret paths like little conspirators and telling each other stories about their life: Wolfie loves all engines, but he does not like ghosts, Jim told him "but monsters are the scariest", Wolfie said "daddy had his birthdayand he got a tank with soldiers", and so on. It was very sweet. I'm glad he had fun and made a new friend for next year.

What kid doesn't love running through shrubbery?
