Shaving blades

Something trivial I discovered recently that surprised me. When I was younger, say a decade younger, I used Gillette Mach3. Then I discovered Gillette Fusion and this is what I used from then on as razor and shaving blades. A few weeks ago, I bought a Mach3 again because 1)they were on discount and 2)there was no Fusion blades available atthe drugstore where I was. The result? I woke up this morning as if I had not shaved at all. And I got a few cuts while shaving from my troubles. Moral of the story: either I am getting hairier, or my skin adapted to more powerful razors and can't revert back to what I used to have.
