A Mountain Warehouse customer? Me?
There are moments when I see how much of a sucker I am as a consumer. So yesterday morning, I see in the mail among other promotional leaflets one by Mountain Warehouse. It is a chain specialized in outdoor clothing, equipment and camping stuff. I don't do camping (or haven't done since I am a teenager) and I don't do much if any outdoor activities, not to the point of needing outdoor clothing, equipment and other stuff. Yet, instead of throwing the leaflet with the others in the recycling, I kept it. Because there were some articles there, especially their shirts and their waterproof jackets, although I do not need the latter because I've got the perfect one already. But I do need new shirts. Yet I thought it was pretty silly buying clothes from a Mountain Warehouse, since I am not so much an outdoor kind of guy. Then it struck me: I am actually already a customer: during our holidays in Totnes I bought at a ridiculously low price a green fleece. Which I am wearing now. My wife hates the colour, but the fleece is very comfortable and just warming enough on a cool evening. So that's it. I actually buy things from Mountain Warehouse.
