Horas Non Numero Nisi Serenas

Well, it is funny how one can find the most fascinating things when you don't expect it. This is what happened recently, when we took a walk in the little town of Marlow. We saw this sundial where you can read in Latin Ne Quid Pereat, which means "let no time be wasted", and Horas Non Numero Nisi Serenas, which means freely translated (and according to a quick Google search): "I don't count the hours unless they are quiet." Or serene, or tranquil. Pick one. In any case, this is a lovely sight in a town that is already very picturesque, and more interestingly an attraction we had never seen before. These are also words of wisdom and I will try to follow the advice.
