C'est le premier septembre, que je considère le premier jour de l'automne. Je me demandais comment le souligner, puis j'ai trouvé cette photo sur Dropbox, tiré de l'album familial: une bernache du Canada en bois (on en a plein à la maison) avec la récolte des pommes de nos pommiers. L'automne, c'est ça: la migration des oiseaux, surtout des canards et des oies, et les récoltes, ici représentées par la pomme, fruit automnal s'il en est un.

It is the first of September today, which I consider the first day of Autumn. I was wondering how to illustrate it here, then I found this picture on Dropbox, from the family album: a Canadian goose (we have loads of wooden ducks at home) and the harvest of apples from our apple trees. Autumn, it is that, in a nutshell: ducks and geese migrating and harvest, here represented by apples, maybe the most autumnal fruit.
