St Swithin's Day

Today is St Swithin's Day. I like to mention it each year. You can read more about the day on the page here (with a lovely image), taken from What to Look for in Summer. If one is to believe the old tale, we are to have a sunny rest of summer. But it also reminds me that we are in the middle of summer and there is less of the season behind us than ahead of us. So I'm always carefully hopeful come St Swithin's Day.
