I blogged
before about one beer from
Cotleigh Brewery. Their Tawny Owl Bitter is not the only product I tried from them. I also bought their Barn Owl, which of course shares its name with
the bird of the same name and is incidentally one of my favourite owls. Well, I love all owls, but this particular owl is at the basis of many ghost stories (read my posts about it
here and
here), so it has a special place in my heart. I do not judge a beer by its label, but this one deserves both its name and the bird of prey associated to it. Of the two Cotleigh beers I had, this one might actually be my favourite, although I would need to confirm it with further tastings. But Barn Owl is a darker ale and I am partial to dark ales.
