Grab a beer!! (English wisdom)

I took this picture months ago, in front of The Chequers in Marlow. I have been wanting to blog about it for a long while. I have not much to say about it, except that it illustrates pure English wisdom and humour. For those who cannot read the small prints, here is what it says: "Grab a BEER!! because no great story started with eating a salad! (We also sell salad...)" The Chequers may not be my favourite pub, or the best in Marlow, but it is nevertheless a pleasant place to have a pint of beer or two or more and to tell a few good stories. For their salad, I can't say, I haven't tried it yet.
