The two days academic?
I am blogging again about my time in Manchester. It will be the topic of many blog posts. As usual, my visit at the Anthony Burgess Foundation reminded me that I once was an academic. I became one again, for the moment I was there: I consulted the bookshelves, the archives, I discussed academic topics, the meaning of some of his works and so on. I am glad I don't feel foreign to this world when I talk to others, although I know far less about English literature than the PhD students and doctors I met there. I guess being a doctor in literature is like bicycle: you never forget it. So between two meals, a few drinks, a few handshakes, I was an academic again.

Glad you enjoyed breathing the thin, heady air of the Ivory Tower again!
