Well, it is Friday, which means it is beer time, beer o'clock right now and I thought I would upload here what is maybe my favorite beer advert ever. This is of course for the flagship of
Wychwood Brewery, the
Hobgoblin. I have blogged about it a number of times and will do it again. I love the use of folklore for the beer's imagery, this sort of mascot that is the hobgoblin, here smiling mischievously, the tip of his nose reddening, offering the viewer a beer. And there's the motto, in your face: "
What's the matter Lagerboy, afraid you might taste something?" Need I say more? That is my attitude towards the lager culture that has been plaguing England, in a nutshell.
