The cooler floor

There is something I have learned to appreciate of our house since we moved in: it's the ground floor. That might sound silly said like that, but as hot air goes up and cold air goes down, it means that the ground floor is the coolest one in the house. And for some reason,this floor remains cool, even on warm sunny days. It takes a heatwave to feel uncomfortable. Maybe it is due to the fact that there are not many windows and everything remains relatively dark there. On a cold day, you may need warm clothes, but when temperatures get hot like last week, it is truly a blessing.
