Le Blanc Cerf de Buckingham

Vous voyez sur cette photo le White Hart Hotel (l'Hôtel du Cerf Blanc si vous avez besoin d'une traduction) dans la petite ville (voire le gros village) de Buckingham. Non, nous n'y sommes jamais allés, mais j'avoue que je suis curieux. L'édifice fait un peu blanc délavé à mon goût, cela dit le nom a vraiment de la gueule. Dans le folklore, surtout le folklore celtique, le cerf blanc est une créature surnaturelle qui souvent nous permet de passer dans l'Autre Monde. Alors ça me rend très curieux d'y séjourner pour au moins une nuit.

The White Hart

We recently went to the small village of Nettlebed for an afternoon, my wife, my son and I. And, while we never stopped there, we saw a pub with the greatest name: The White Hart. Now, I love stags as pub's name and as pub's ensign, as I mentioned before, but white ones are even better because in myths and legends they are associated with the supernatural. So it sounds far cooler than any other name for a pub. While this is not the best ensign I saw, it is nice enough, and anyway just for the name it is worth a visit next time we go do Nettlebed.
