Is winter coming?

Apparently it is, in spite of my usual skepticism regarding this claim. Storm Caroline is about to hit the UK and it brings snow with it. I am of two minds about it: I do want some snow, then again British people don't deal very well with snow falls, however modest and I don't want this country be gridlocked... and me with it.
