Easter is coming, in fact it's just round the corner, and it means that we see rabbits, THE animal representative of the holiday, everywhere. In Morrisons, there is (was?) a sort of draft or competition, where you have to guess this plush rabbit's name. I haven't participated yet, I thought to first check with my readership if they had any suggestions. Jack? Blossom? Come to think of it, this bunny is from Jellycat, so if I go on their website I might find his name. But they all seem to be named Bashful. Maybe you just need to invent one. What is your guess?

Lost (and found) mouse
Last week, my wife was going back from a baby class with Wolfie when she saw on the ground this plush mouse from Jellycat. So my wife put it on the street sign where she found it and took a picture to share on social medias. She would have left it there but some teenage boys knocked it down. So she took it home and sent the picture on some Facebook community pages. Quickly enough, the mother of the girl who had lost it got in touch with my wife and soon the girl was reunited with her little mouse. So this was my wife's good deed of last week.

The Welsh Dragon
Okay, today is Ash Wednesday and I would normally blog about it, but it also happens that it is the first of March and thus Saint David's Day and this day matters more to me, as he is the patron saint of Wales. To read more about my story with Wales and this day, please read this post and that post. And to commemorate this day, the day of the Welsh Dragon so to speak, I have decided to upload (again) Bashful Dragon from Jellycat, one of mt son's favourite plush toys. Because he is red like the Welsh dragon and I believe Bashful is also from Wales. I plan to visit Wales as a family some day, and more than once.

Lapinoudoux

Bashful Fox
Well, I had promised to myself that I would do it and yesterday I finally did: I bought another Jellycat plush toy to my son. This time, it is Bashful Fox. Jellycat makes a good deal of foxes, this one is my favourite. So Bashful Fox is the latest addition to our son's plush menagerie. Since I haven't found a wolf yet. Still, a fox is cool and this one is very cute. My wife wants to decorate his bedroom with a woodland theme, which I think is a great idea, we might as well give a plush animals that reflect the forest a bit. But more importantly, Bashful Fox, which I will need to find a new name, is very cuddly. Foxes were among my favourite animals as a child, certainly my favourite forest animals and I think it might be the same for my son.

Bashful Dragon
As my French readers know (since I made it the topic of a post), we will have a baby in a few months from now. Not so long from now, in fact. We even know it's going to be a boy. I was not sure when to announce it on the blog, thought yesterday was as good a time as any (although my brother PJ spilled the beans in one of his comments). So it is my first official announcement in English. And we have started buying him clothes and plush toys, including this Jellycat dragon, all red like the dragon of Wales. According to the website, it is a Bashful Dragon and he's Hobbit friendly. Good, because our son will be smaller than a Hobbit for a while. He sure looks sweet for a dragon. But he sure is a dragon. It was not the first plush toy we bought, but my mind was set to get this one. I might be pandering to gender roles, but I thought this was fitting for a baby boy. In any case, I think I have a winner. In any case, I think Bashful Dragon (or whatever the name my son will give him) will be very much treasured.
