Friday (cover by Stephen Colbert)

I was thinking two things recently: 1)I need to put more music on Vraie Fiction and 2)I need to find a way to celebrate Friday and the weekend, to start it the right way. Then I thought of this cover of Rebecca Black's Friday on the Jimmy Fallon show, with Stephen Colbert singing the lead. I don't care much about Fallon, I care even less about Rebecca Black and her music, but Colbert is a god of comedy and this is both hilarious and irresistibly upbeat. It just puts me in a good mood. Cate Blanchett and the Amazon review

I thought I'd share a bit of humour on this blog tonight. Recently, Cate Blanchett went on Stephen Colbert's show to promote her new movie Truth. Colbert made her... read an Amazon review for... a blender, asking her to be in character who... Anyway, it was absolutely hilarious. I cannot explain how brilliant it is, so I will just upload the video here. Cate is such an amazing actress, she could literally read the phone book and be interesting. Gripping even. So here it is. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
