Holy Cow Tea
As you may know, I am always on the lookout for new tea companies. I have also been trying to increase my intake of loose leaf tea, because it tastes better and I think is healthier. Not to mention fancier. So I recently discovered at a local fayre a new tea company, Holy Cow Tea. The very nice staff were giving samples to try, so I promised to stop by their stand and I did. Their range is a bit pricey, but I indulged myself because I needed something of quality and I love to support small local businesses. I use their Emporium Breakfast when I need a solid brew to start the day, which is always at the moment. So that's my new breakfast tea for now.

Cow Express
This picture was taken in the Isle of Wight, in Robin Hill. I was looking through the pictures of our time there and it made me want to share some of them. This was one of Wolfie's favourite ride, the Cow Express. Kind of fitting for a name: in real train journeys, you often see cows at some point, cows that watch the train going. It makes sense to have a train named after them. Even if it is a park ride. I found it very cute, in any case and I love all things trains and railway, so I had to share it.

Cows on the run in Marlow
Here is a bit of somewhat local news that might bring a smile to your face: yesterday, there was a herd of cows on the run in the little town of Marlow. We know the town pretty well and in the past we have walked where the cows went through. They were from Lacey's Family Farm (I don't think I ever bought anything from them). From what I gathered, the cows were recaptured. Seeing them roaming around might have felt scary, but I must say the story did give me a few chuckles when I read about it on social media. It reminded me of a similar story in Québec, although back home the escaped cows were on the run for much longer.

Basil and his tractor
Those who have been following this blog for a while know of my son's love for tractors. It is maybe its favourite vehicle. Which means he has loads and loads of ttoy tractors, from cheap plastic stuff of very low quality, to the life like models. This is one of the latter, a Schleich tractor with trailer that also has its own farmer to drive it, its own hay bale and its own calf (!).My dad bought him this tracot for Christmas and I suspect he wanted to give his grandson the fanciest, coolest, most realistic toy tractor he could find. He also named the driver Basil, because when he himself was a child, he had a toy tractor with a farmer and he and his brother had given him the name Basil. So Wolfie is following again a family tradition.

Farmer's Ale (the beer with the tractor on the label)
I had this beer in a pub in Derbyshire. I cannot remember the name of the pub just now, but I want to blog more about it bcause it has an interesting history. Right now, I just want to tell this funny anecdote. I dranks lots of products from the Bradfield Brewery during our stay there. This one was called Farmer's Ale and you can tell why I had it. One of them is because it was nice and dark enough and really the perfect beer for a cold and wet night. The other is that it had a tractor on the label, and little Wolfie being completely obsessed about tractors, it is the one he wanted me to have. Yes, he is too young to drink, but he still helps me to choose the right beer. Sometimes he can be very bossy too.

Vanillalicious
Sometimes I need some treat to get me through the working day and give me a boost of both endorphin and energy. And it is not so obvious to find if you are not sure what you are looking for. But I am lucky as yesterday, I rediscovered at total random the Shaken Udder brand, which I don't think I have drank since I first blogged about them in 2016. Which is strange, as I really liked it, both the product and the bottle, with its goofy cow. Anyway, the drink I tried yesterday is their vanilla milkshake and is aptly named Vanillalicious. It tastes just as it sounds. I know dairy products are not meant to be as healthy as they used to be, but no matter, sometimes on a slow, boring and dreary day you need to drink something comforting and have a protein intake. This milkshake will do just fine.

Shaken Udder's Chocolush Milkshake
I have recently discover this chocolate milkshake, aptly named Chocolush! (with an exclamation mark to give it more impact), from a brand called Shaken Udder. I know they do other flavours, banana, strawberry, vanilla and so on, but the only one I found was Chocolush. " And?"you may ask... And it is both delicious and highly addictive. I mean really, really addictive. the milkshake version of crack cocaine and I know I say this of a lot of chocolate based stuff. But in this case, it is absolutely true. You don't expect it, you just drink this milkshake, minding your own business, and within three gulps it is empty and you are left thirsty for more. The bottles we bought are simply too small to calm the craving! I know they have bigger ones, but so far I could not find them. So I am not sure if this is a plug or a warning, but here it is: Shaken Udder's Chocolush milkshake is an addictive substance!
