KitKat Burglars

Well, after stealing violins, now it seems that criminals come after chocolate. I read the news a few days ago: more than 12 tons of KitKat chocolate has been stolen in Italy. Twelve tons! Of yummy KitKat chocolates, their new F1 line bar. This is a despicable crime on so many levels. And just before Easter on top of it, which according to the article could cause shortage for customers. When I said it is despicable, I really mean it... Anyway, once the investigation is over and hopefully the thieves are behind bars (sorry for the bad pun), it might be a great starting point for a crime fiction story.

KitKat Ghost Toast

A few days ago, I found in the local sweet shop a new sign of Halloween and I did not want to wait until october to show it. So yeah, what did I see? a KitKat Ghost Toast. It was kind of expensive for its size and I am not always into variants of a winning formula, but all the same, I bought it for my wife. I regret nothing. Because I love Halloween that much and yes, it is already time to get yourself into a spooky mood. And sweets and desserts are an integral part of the spooky holiday.

Have a Kit Kat (with peanut butter!)

Sometimes there are weird things that just work. Take the traditional Kit Kat bar for instance: it's a biscuit bar disguised as a chocolate bar and it's a good enough dessert and a delicious if not very filling snack. My wife loves them, I like them. But they introduced a number of variants to the bar, among them, the Kit Kat with peanut butter. As my readers know, I have during weekdays a bit of a beaver's diet: to get through my working days, I need some food that gives me endorphin and energy. Thus, I need something sugar. This specific variety gives a bit more energy, thanks to the peanut butter. And it even tastes just right, to my great surprise. I love peanut butter, but I am always skeptical to add it to a dessert or indeed anything sweet. This time, it worked, it even gives a smoothness which the normal Kit Kat is devoid of. It may not be my favourite chocolate bar, but I will have it from time to time when I need an energy boost.
