I am about to finish
Murder in Style by Rex Stout. The original American title,
Plot it Yourself, is much, much better. The British title just sounds too generic. Hopefully before going to bed I will have finished reading it. Anyway, I am rediscovering this writer and his obese detective. It is actually the first
Nero Wolfe novel I read, but I got first into his universe by reading the short-lived
French comic books adaptations. He is such a wonderfully written character: he loves orchids, he is misogynistic, he has an impossible temper and reclusive (never lives his house but twice a year or so), he is an art lover, he loves to eat good food (the meals he has are absolutely decadent) and he loves beer. It's a shame he is not better known by the mainstream public.
