Darn leaf blowers!

Well, it used to be every Monday, and I guess as last Monday was a bank holiday, it had to be postponed, but anyway, two days ago, we got woken up at 7:15 by a concert of leaf blowers! It used to be worse, they used to work as early as 6:30AM, for some reason. We complained to the company hiring them and they are now doing it 45 minutes later, but it is still too loud and still too early. And can someone, anyone, explain to me why use leaf blowers in the first place, especially now? There are hardly any leaf on the ground and won't be for a few months. And fallen leafs are good for soil and the environment anyway. And they look nice. Frankly, I wish leaf blowers were banned. One day, I hope.
