It does not look or feel like winter outside, as I have been moaning about. It has really got into me. But I try to find comfort in a few things. First, I have a real Christmas tree. This is always a plus to bring the spirit of Christmas home. And we have really nice ornaments. I have seen around far uglier Christmas trees than ours, because they are fake and because their ornaments are tacky. My wife and I are particularly fond of this sort, little doll girls that could easily be gnomes, wearing winter clothes, especially a woolly hat and pig tails. Some of them have ice skates. The brand is being sold in a local shop. We bought many of them, for us and for our families. It may not be winter outside, but these dolls bring winter on the Christmas tree.

Winter on the Christmas tree
It does not look or feel like winter outside, as I have been moaning about. It has really got into me. But I try to find comfort in a few things. First, I have a real Christmas tree. This is always a plus to bring the spirit of Christmas home. And we have really nice ornaments. I have seen around far uglier Christmas trees than ours, because they are fake and because their ornaments are tacky. i have had it with this weather.i wait all year for fall and winter and now all we have is summer. i mean really, 70 degrees for xmas...where am i? miami?
ReplyDeleteAfter the year we've had, I'm fed up too. Winter slid into a Spring that was more like Winter and our Summer barely broke into the high 50's most days. Autumn was more like Spring and here we are officially in Winter and it is as warm as it was all Summer but with torrential rain. I'm trying everything to catch the Christmas spirit but it evades me still.
