Last Monday, while we were on our way to pick up Wolfie from school, we saw magpies. Nothing special about it, the neighbourhood is full of them. But it is rare we see so many in one go. I love magpies, as you may know if you have read this blog. When I first came to this country to study, they struck me as exotic birds, since we don't have any where I am from.Or at least I never saw any before I came here. Anyway, first we saw four, then a single mapgie. I don't know if it means we saw a mischief of magpies, but according to the nursery rhyme, it is five for silver. Make of it what you will. Maybe we'll get rich, or richer. Or something else.
Blogue d'un québécois expatrié en Angleterre. Comme toute forme d'autobiographie est constituée d'une large part de fiction, j'ai décidé de nommer le blogue Vraie Fiction.
There's no magpies in Quebec? Alberta is chockablock full of them! I like magpies too but my gawd not when they start that raucous cawing at dawn.
