Barber Shop Wisdom
I went to get a haircut today and it was about time: I looked like a a goddam hippy. This is what I said to the lady barber, a matronly English woman in her fifties, who replied: "I hope you don't start smoking a peace pipe in here!" I thought it was funny and a new great unknown line. She was quite friendly and chatty, and gave me quite a few great unknown lines and bits of wisdom. I I don't remember them all, they were firing them up in quick succession, but among other things, when I told her I had just bought a few beers at the shop next door, nothing important, she said: "But these are the essentials! Things that help get through life in a better mood!" Pure wisdom, I said. I will go back there again for my next haircut.
You should have kept growing your hair even longer and then put it up in a man bun.
