Blogue d'un québécois expatrié en Angleterre. Comme toute forme d'autobiographie est constituée d'une large part de fiction, j'ai décidé de nommer le blogue Vraie Fiction.

Tetralogy (the word of the day)
The word of the day is tetralogy. It comes from the Greek "tetra" (four) and "logia" (discourse). It means, of course, a body of work that is made of four different distinct works, usually in fiction, whether it is theatre, novel, opera or film. Please be aware that the term quadrilogy, which you can find fairly often in film industry, is faulty. The term "quadri" comes from Latin, thus joining it to a Greek term makes no sense whatsoever. And it irritates me to no end when I see it used by people who try to appear knowledgeable. The correct word (and the one I hope you will use for now on) is tetralogy.
I stand duly corrected.
