Knife attacks in town

Something happened recently to the cousin of one of my wife's friends, and it happened in the center of our quiet little town. I don't know the details, but basically some thug threatened the cousin and his friends with a knife. There has been an increase of knife attacks in town recently, this is only one of them. In fact it is not even a knife attack, it's "only" a threat (for an attack there has to be movement). After learning about this, and other violent incidents, I am glad I learned Krav Maga. Defense against knife attacks is something we practiced over and over again, because they are very frequent. I recommended to my wife's friend that she should look for a KM club nearby to learn the Israeli self-defense system herself (and her cousin with her). I have also started thinking that I should get back into training.
