Generations of friends

Today, we went to see friends of my wife (and my friends too now) and their families, to celebrate the birth of my wife's friend's baby, her third one. So there was there today: our own family, made of three people, the hosts' family, the two parents and their two children, a boy and a girl, and family the friend and her three children, a boy and two girls. The husband of the latter was home sick. They have all known each other since university and our children have known each other since birth. In spite of geographical distances, they all kept in touch and our children are already creating a very important bond together. This is what I thought about today.
