Milk bottles for tea?

Remember the tea and milk controversy? Well, I have lived it again and this time on David's Tea's Facebook page. They are selling these milk bottles as... Milk and tea bottles. This caption came with the above picture: "Tea and milk go amazing together. Tea in milk bottles is the next logical step!" No, it is not the next logical step. Don't get me wrong, I love milk on its own, as a delicious drink. But it is also a barbaric one. And it has no place in tea, except to spoil and dilute its flavour. That said, yes, these are nice milk bottles. David's Tea knows how to make good tea accessories. I might buy one of these bottles, if they come in some other colors than these pastel ones. To drink milk or tea, but not milk and tea together. Because they are not amazing together. Anyway, my next purchase with them is a travel mug, which remains the most practical and ergonomic accessories they have invented. I can barely wait.

  1. Oh, I agree 100% -- the very thought of putting milk in tea makes me nauseous. But don't Brits love drinking tea that way? In fact, isn't the big controversy among British tea drinkers whether you put the milk in before OR after the tea? No wonder they lost the Empire.

  2. Noo British tea drinkers normally add milk to tea, milk goes in after the water. Sugar might or might not be added. That's the first I've heard of any controversy about it. Personally though, I can't stand tea ... milk or not!
