Ending July

We are the last day of July, which I am sure you have noticed. It might sound strange for many of you, but I am generally not a big fan of this month, for many reasons which I will not bother you about (for those who can read French you can know about them on this post). What I want to blog about is this particular month of July and what it has meant to me. So here is my musing:

-July this year, more than any, has been a month of transitions. My wife and I moved home and actually bought our first house. Instead of being a "still" month in the middle of summer, what it usually is for us, July was a time of important changes.
-It has also been a month of transitions to my whole family: my brother Andrew moved in with his girlfriend and my brother PJ finally sold his house. So it is a time of new departures...
-Even though I often blog about it, it is of course essential that I mention it again: my wife and I are also expecting our first child, who should be born in a few weeks from now. Among all the big changes, this one has not happened yet, but it is shaping our lives already. We are finally building a family of our own and building a new generation of the families we come from. July was thus a month of ongoing preparations.
-Thankfully, the month has not been too hot overall. My wife, being pregnant, she was grateful that we didn't have many hot summer days.

So it was not always an easy month, in fact some of it was quite stressful, but at least it was an interesting month and it went quickly. And, as we are waiting for little Wolfie to arrive, we are glad July is ending.

I am not a fan of July, or Summer either and am always eternally grateful when it it not hot, or at least not much above 70 degrees.
New adventures lie ahead!
